Dear Joan,
With regards to your request concerning the monitoring of PLWHA, especially pregnant women in PMTCT programs and receiving ANC services, I am going to send you a tool developed in cooperation with the Regional Centre for Quality of Health Care, in Uganda, the Nutrition Job Aids for Regions with High HIV Prevalence. These Job Aids are intended for health workers during six points of contact with women: ante-natal, delivery and immediate post-partum, postnatal contact, well-baby contact, sick, and family planning. They provide careful instructions on assessing, counseling, and actions needed for maternal, infant and young child nutrition, especially within the HIV context. It seems it would be useful for the project you are supporting.
Please review and let me know if you would like additional copies.
