Sugar and PLWHA (5)
?-------------------------------

Pineapple is excellent, especially the hard core of the fruit. It is a
natural cleansing agent and is used a great deal with bacterial/intestinal
bacteria that causes 'runny tummy' syndrome. Those with severe thrush might find it burns their mouth/tongue however this is only temporary.
Good luck in your quest for pineapples!
David.

Thanks for the truckload of information. I had already
contacted Mark Konlee about my intention, and though I have never met him, I have been quite an admirer of Keep Hope Alive.
I am planning to use two lemons because here in southern Africa, lemons
are cheap and it will improve the taste (after doing a fairly receptive
survey.) Actually, I am thinking of alternating e.v.olive oil with
sunflower because of the taste, the economy, and the variety. Maybe even some possibility of balancing Omega 3s and 6s. (at $6 liter, e.v. olive oil is a real luxury for my program of free distribution to subsistence
farmers.)
But, what can you say about tolerating the taste, since you have
used it for years?? I was hoping to use fresh pineapple juice, but it is
not available all year. So, I have to swallow my pride and use a raw sugar
that is blended with treacle (molassess).
I am starting off with ten volunteers and frankly am apprehensive
about preparing that much every day.
Do you have any further suggestions??
