Multivamin for the care of the mothers of HIV infants and children

?-------------------------------------------

In many studies that have been done, it is found that HIV persons are
deficient in several Nutrients, ( Anti Oxidant, B vitamins, Proteins and
Calorie)
This is due to
1.. Medication, Tb medication Isonizid actually blocks absoprtion of
vitamin B6,other anti depresants and painkillers blocks absortion.
2.Mal-absoption Syndrome
3. lack of food intake due to, oral thrush, sores in the mouth,
negative attitutude just to name afew.
4. Drug Nutrient interraction
because of all these factors, they need external supplementation. If the
patient has been newly diagnosed, he needs to start paying more
attention to Micro-nutrient intake, but as the diease progresses they
need to supplement.Yes, you may all insist on they need to take the
fruits and vege, but remeber, lack of appetitite and because of low
calorie intake, there micronutrient intake isdefinately reduced.
Such Micronutrient like Vitamin A is free in Kenya, I don't know about other
countries.
