[pronut-hiv] Case studies of success using nutrition for PLWHA

Dear all,

I'm putting together a CD ROM to send to our field staff in our CARE
country offices on nutrition and HIV. I would love to include some case
studies or research on successful experiences using food and or nutrition
education/support in care and support of children/women/families/communities living with HIV.

Do any of you have information/research/case studies that I could include
on the CD?

When I was visiting some of our Country offices, many of the staff
said that they considered HIV as the most important emergency that they
had, even in the "drought-affected" countries. However, there don't seem
to be any good guidelines for either nutrition in this situation, much less
the use of foods, beyond increasing rations. Are there case studies about
combining food rations, supplements or perhaps micronutrient sprinkles and
gardens that don't require intensive labor or any combination of these?

Thanks.

Judy
