Dear Sirs/Mrs.
I am writing from Peru to inform you that we have developed an
hydrobiological protein concentrate (85% min), named PROTEINOL, to be used as ingredient on food products to fight against malnutrition.
Peru has different social aid programs, depending on the objective group (children between 6 months to 3 years and children between 3 years to 12
years) these programs acquire baby foods, pasta and enriched breads and cookies. These food products have to be produced with animal proteins,
cereals, vegetal proteins, vegetal fat, sugar, vitamins, minerals, etc. Due our product is the cheapest animal protein powder food grade in the
market, it is being used by the producers, reducing their production costs (near 30% less than those food products which still use only milk or eggs
powder on their formula as animal protein ingredient).
As you know animal protein´s biological value (BV) is higher than vegetal
protein´s BV. PROTEINOL's BV is 90%, other vegetal protein's BV (for example
soy protein) is near 74%, this means that it will be necessary to eat more
food product, formulated with vegetal protein to absorb the necessary
proteins, than the one which contains animal protein. This can be possible
on adults but not on babies or children, who can only receive a little
portion each time. That is the reason why it is needed that the food
products (babies and children eat) content the highest possible BV. This way
a little portion will be more nutritious and will combat malnutrition more
efficiently.
I have read a little about the Likuni Phala and I think this product has
been formulated to fight against malnutrition in the same way as Peruvian
babyfood does. For that reason I will be glad to send samples of PROTEINOL
to formulate LIKUNI PHALA with. This way you will be able to enrich this
product without adding to much cost, but increasing its BV.
It is important to remark that because of its marine origin, PROTEINOL has
seafood odor and taste but this are attenuated due the production process we
use, which do not use any solvent or chemical agent. For that reason
PROTEINOL can be used as ingredient on food products without adding seafood
odor and taste.
On Peruvian case it is possible to add up to 3% of PROTEINOL on baby food in
order to obtain one without seafood taste or odor. This, because one of the
Peruvian tech specs establishes that the baby food has to be free of strange
odors and tastes and has to be well accepted by the babies.
Peruvian baby food formula is:
FORMULA WITH PROTEINOL
6.75% Sugar
62.22% Cereal (Milled and pre cooked)
4.30% Whole Milk powder
11.35% Vegetal fat
1.84% Tricalcium phosphate
0.37 Magnesium sulfate
0.23 Vitamins and Minerals (premix)
0.00 Fructose
0.05 Lecitine
0.01 Natural Antioxidant
0.43 Natural Flavors
0.00 Egg powder
9.45 Soy isolated
3.00 PROTEINOL
100.00
It is important to say that it can be used as much PROTEINOL as needed,
only restricted to desired taste and odor on the final product. For example
on noodles production you can use 5% of PROTEINOL over the total ingredients
to obtain the same goal: Not to hav seafood odor and taste.
Attached to the present you will find the technical profile of PROTEINOL for
your review.
I also want to inform you that in the USA there is a product called SEACURE,
obtained from white fish and they say their product helps (between others)
HIV persons to gain weight. Our product does it too but a lower cost. If it
is the case, we can provide encapsuled PROTEINOL to help HIV people to gain
weight fast at a low cost. We can present our product in bottles containing
500mg capsules
Hoping to hear from you soon regarding this matter, I say goodbye,
Sincerely Yours
CARLOS PEREZ
