RE: [pronut-hiv] Advice on developing STANDARD NutritionGuidelines for PLWHA (13)

Thanks Roy for underscoring the need for evidence
based Nutrition/medicine in development of HIV/AIDS
guidelines. And thanks to George for echoing those
sentiments. Which then leads to the question, do we
have existing database for research conducted in the
field of Nutrition and HIV/AIDS, particularly in
developing and countries in transition?
While acknowledging that we cannot wait for all the
clinical trials to be completed, I do appreciate that
we have a substantial amount of data that could be
quite valuable. I agree with you George that
connectivity is poor in most African countries; Harare
is just a case in point, but then how do we make this
information available to them in a more user-friendly
manner?
George, your offer for support is highly welcome but
you need to put it more explicitly
Best wishes,
Joseph
