[pronut-hiv] BREADS FORTIFIED WITH ANIMAL PROTEIN FOR THE MALNUTRITION

Thousands homesin Lima,Peru will be able to consume shortly a bread fortified with Proteinol, a protein (86 % minimum) concentrated powder obtained from the muscular fraction of the Peruvian giant squid, which is much cheaper and nourishing than any other proteins of animal origin.

The consumption of this fortified bread will be possible thanks to a strategic alliance between Provipan, principal supplier of inputs for bakery and pastry shop, and Matrel company dedicated to the investigation, development and production of nutritional products.

. PROTEINOL is a protein concentrated animal origin that seeks to replace the proteins from egg and milk, to be used as an input in the production of different kinds of food, contributing to a major protein value to a minor cost, which it would benefit principally to undernourished children, pregnant mothers, elders, and to all those who want to improve his nutritional quality.

MATREL'S chairman, Mr. Luis Felipe Olaechea, explains the kindness of the Proteinol and its enormous usefulness also in the food programs of social support

"The production of mixings for breads with animal protein, mix with protein and calcium and mix with protein calcium and iron is going to start. " Matrel seeks to help to that the problems of malnutrition are solved in the country, this serious problem not only must be attended for the government, if not to ours seem, to the private sector who must put to disposition innovative, efficient and economic alternatives of solution and it is there where we have intervened, on having formed this alliance we have already given the first step, since we have achieved to develop a mixing for fortified bread with proteins and with Omega 3 and 6 ", he added.

In effect, this flour, obtained of the muscular fiber of the Peruvian giant squid, has a biological value of 90 %, with a concentration of 86 % of proteins (minimum) and 3 % of fats, 40 % of which are an omega 3 and 6, essential for the growth of the cerebral tissue, the development of the sight and the cellular tissue.

Besides, they help to regulate the blood pressure, the viscosity of the blood, prepare against cardiovascular diseases and the cancer.

Olaechea indicated that in the production of PROTEINOL they do not use skin, entrails, cartilages, neither fins nor tentacles of the giant squid, but only the mantle or pipe, which is produced without the use of solvents or chemical agents.

He adds that the process of production used by Matrel, assures that the FINAL product to which PROTEINOL had been added to enrich it, will not have fishy smell or flavor without any alteration of its typical flavor or smell.

Luis Felipe Olaechea indicated that the bread fotified with PROTEINOL will go out to the sale soon in every Lima4s bakeries and hereinafter to national level, to the same price that other breads with added value.
