NEW UNGASS- AND MDG-RELATED FOCUS FOR THE BREAK-THE-SILENCE eFORUM

'Keep the Promise: Start Making Sense!' is an initiative of the civil
society-led World AIDS Campaign (www.worldaidscampaign.org), in
collaboration with Health & Development Networks (www.hdnet.org).

It provides a forum for discussion and debate of major HIV/AIDS
policy-related events and milestones during 2005-06, centring on the
imminent national review of progress with implementing the United Nations
General Assembly Special Session (UNGASS) Declaration of Commitment (DoC) on HIV/AIDS.

'Keep the Promise: Start Making Sense!' promotes discussion and debate
around the UNGASS review and AIDS-related issues surrounding the Millennium
Development Goals (MDG). It will also help identify and share related
reports and other information sources. 

All major civil society stakeholder groups and individuals are encouraged to participate in KEEP THE PROMISE: START MAKING SENSE! including: people
living with HIV/AIDS, HIV/AIDS organisations and networks; teachers; trade
unions; social and cultural leaders; women's groups; academics and
researchers; non-governmental organisations.

Opening eForum discussion themes will give introductions to the UNGASS
review and the specific health-related issues of the 2005 MDG review, as
well as exploring new ways of working and current dilemmas faced by national and international civil society stakeholders.
