Dear Friends,
Hello and please read below two different letters sent to me recently by people seeking help for their friends and relatives in Kenya who are HIV+. I have written mentioning VCT (does anyone know a clinic there they could go to?), a few doctors, women's orgs addressing HIV/AIDS, a hotline for help, and better nutrition. I am wondering what others might recommend: both of these people in need do live in Nairobi.
Any leads or feedback are greatly appreciated! If you can cc lwheeler415@yahoo.com and barnyard3030@aol.com too, that would be excellent! All best wishes and deepest thanks, Janet (Feldman, kaippg@earthlink.net )
My relative is still living, however, she is bedridden and very weak. Right now, I understand that they are treating her for TB. The doctors say that her liver is very damaged from all the medication she has been taking for the wrong diagnosis. I would like you to guide me to some of the people and places there in Kenya, to see what can be done to help her. This person is my younger sister who has done so much for our family. She has taken care of family members during their time of need, and up to their deaths, and I would like to take care of her as she has done for them.

I am contacting you on behalf of a friend from Kenya who is HIV positive and cannot find any support or medical care. She's a single mother living with three kids and working as a janitor. She is definitely symtomatic and desperately needs care. Do you know of any clinics where she could go?
