Agreed with Rachel, and, to add, the American Dietetic Association is a
promoter of nutrition and an expert in nutrition issues, but to my knowledge and in my lifetime as a member, none of us have ever attempted to control nutrition information. Marco, I'm very concerned with your comment and am not sure why you percieved the ADA to be that way. I am interested in hearing your experiences and am happy to take an issue to ADA's issues management team as we always strive to improve our organization, our image, and the work that we all do.

For many years, American Dietetic Association has recognized the
healthfulness of beans and promoted eating them. The organization and its
members understand quite well that combining beans with grain provides high
quality protein - this has, for years, been an elementary concept in
nutrition education. I have never heard the word "beans" used in a
derogatory way.
Also, I don't understand how big companies affected consumption of eggs.
