Beatrice,

At the Department of Food Technology, Makerere University, there is a
student called Paul Orikushaba; he did a MSc thesis, evaluating the
distribution and use of national guidelines on nutrition and HIV/AIDS. He
had a sample of 216 health workers selected from 19/72 districts. He
assessed the availability of the guidelines (using LQAS decision criterion),
the knowledge on the different guidelines (e.g. guidelines on energy
requirements, pMTCT/infant feeding, ARV food interaction, etc), practices on
what they do and how they do it (e.g. do they do weighing, height
measurements, counsel on symptoms managements, AFASS evaluation, etc). He
only evaluated knowledge and practices of what was expected for health
workers from the guidelines. He also had simple lankert scales to measure
attitude.

His tel number is: +256712977619. I don't have his new e-mail.
