Dear Colleagues
Can you help a colleague who is working on a probiotics guideline for the world gastroenterology organisation and is interested in exploring special uses/abuses in low-income countries. He says:
"The World Organisation of Gastroenterology (WGO) has made "Optimal Nutrition in Health and Disease " the focus of the World Digestive Health Day for 2008 (29th May)
One of the the things they are working on is a Guideline on Probiotics.
I was asked what relevance there is of probiotics (or prebiotics or synbiotics ) for Africa .
They want to make guidelines that matter in the field , not just for New York or London.
Use and abuse of probiotics - is there a relevance for Africa - for developing countries generally ?"
If you have a view, please write to Justus Krabshuis
Justus.krabshuis@highland-data.com (not me!).
Thank you very much for your help
