Discussions on selected topics on food security/nutrition and HIV/AIDS start on May 15th, 2008

Topic: "Promising Approaches in Nutrition and HIV, Country Experience with Nutrition-HIV Integration"
Facilitator: Dr Robert Mwadime

Dr Robert Mwadime works with FANTA/AED as the Regional senior nutrition and HIV/AIDS advisor. He worked for LINKAGES/AED before then. Dr Mwadime comes from an Academic background having been a lecturer at the University of Nairobi, at the Applied Nutrition Unit. Currently he also lectures at Makerere University at the Department of Food Technology and Nutrition. He provided TA to couple of countries in East and Southern Africa in development of guidelines and materials on Nutrition and HIV/AIDS, and also in materials to support counseling, and training. He is working with USAID/EA, WHO and UNICEF/ESARO to organize a regional meeting on monitoring and evaluation of the integration of nutrition in HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs.
