Guidelines without framework for implementation may not help much.
Without clear definitin of the roles/responsibilities, we may think inteventions is being delivered while actually nothing is moving. Will be nice to get highlights in this area as well as what should be expected at each level- facility (dispensaries, health centres and hospitals) and community
Is delegating nutrition activities to the other cadre of staff the best option? To what extent are we tasking nutritionists?
Another concern is in relation to our women. With PMTCT a lot of work have been done especially aiming at protecting the child, BUT what about these mothers? We talk a lot on infant feeding and all the options; but what nutrition related informatin do we deliver benefiting the mother? what are the best indicators should we use ( considering the pregnancy) that can be adapted even at lower facilities to tell if she is malnourished or not?

Margaret
